News 31/3/11: New section coming!

 

There is going to be a new section on the blog called “Friday Picks”. I invited some of my friends to share their favorite movies with us. Each Friday one of them is going to post two movies they like. I would like to thank Emma Haskell from The Alter Ego who will pick the first two movies for this weekend. Stay tuned for her picks.

Norwegian Film Festival (2011)

From Tuesday 15 to Wednesday 23 of February there is going to be a Norwegian Film Festival at the Leopoldo Lugones Auditorium at San Martin Theatre. Ten feature films (35 mm) specially sent by the Norwegian Film Institute -which have not been released in Argentina yet- are going to be screened in this Festival. The cycle will show the extensive collection of the “new wave” of Norwegian Cinema that arose with the new millennium. Which include two recent films by Bent Hamer, (O´Horten and Home for Christmas) the Norwegian producer of well international renown, who is always present in the festivals of Cannes, Toronto and San Sebastian, among others.
